ABOUT JAY PSAROS

What type of songwriter is Jay Psaros? That’s a question Psaros has been asking himself for years.  With his new Album "Long Time Coming," Psaros touches on many themes found within a coming of age.  The impact of distance, reflections of a time since passed, and the human spirit which rings hopeful in times of hard earned growth.  Pen and paper surrounded by the sound of beautifully crafted Folk, Rock, and Americana.

This album is a celebration of a career high for Psaros, spending the past two years touring extensively with Gordon Lightfoot, Three Dog Night, Collective Soul and a variety of music's most recognizable names spanning dozens of genres and decades.  "Long Time Coming" is a subtle nod to the bright moments, and a warm embrace to the lessons learned along the way.

Psaros has always been a committed live performer.  Jay and his guitar are warm, inviting and connective.  When with The Jay Psaros Band, bigger energy prevails, covering a wide range of musical influences set to the backdrop of Psaros' own brand of New England Folk/Rock.  It is through these shows, nearly 15 years of them, that Psaros has been earning recognition and opportunity in places far beyond his New England Roots.

At the start of the Covid-19 Pandemic, Psaros, like so many others, found himself without work and questioning the things about their past that they'd like to change.  Covid proved to be a window of opportunity that allowed that change to be tested.  "I knew that, musically at least, I wanted to make it mean more.  I wanted more art. "  And that's exactly what Psaros was able to focus on during one of the world's most unprecedented times.  Psaros released a string of singles over the span of the Covid Pandemic, with each single proving to be a light in a dark and quiet world.  Psaros' single "Zombies" caught the attention of Martin Guitar, who invited him to perform a Live Stream across their social media.  His single "Rise When You Fall" earned him an invite to be part of Boston's Ghost Light Series, filmed at the historic Wang Theatre in Boston's Theatre District.  His self produced live streams kept the attention of over a decade of connections made through constant touring.  It was the culmination of these projects which solidified almost of two years of touring across the United States playing some of the finest theaters and venues in the country.

On and off the stage, Psaros's music has found its way to the ears of listeners across the country.  His music has been featured Independent Cinematic releases, Major Television Network Films and Movie Streaming platforms.  In 2023, his music was featured in Netflix's #1 Trending Movie, "Dog Gone," starring Rob Lowe.  His penchant for stylistic songwriting found his single "I Dream of Christmas with You" in Lifetimes "Christmas on Ice."

Psaros has shared the stage with: Gordon Lighfoot, Styx, Three Dog Night, Collective Soul, Lisa Loeb, Ziggy Marley, Little River Band, Third Eye Blind, Peter Cetera, Anders Osborne, Tower of Power, Eddie Money, REO Speedwagon, Daughtry, The Mavericks, Billy Currington, Foreigner, Grand Funk Railroad, Brett Eldredge, Los Lonely Boys, Boz Scaggs, Joe Nichols, Rusted Root, Donovan Frankenreiter and many more.

As a writer on No Depression reminisces, “I remember one of the first times I saw Psaros perform. From that moment I was reeled into the songwriter's work. He has a presence on stage and embedded into his songs. Calm and confident but soft, warm and alluring. It’s entrancing.”

ABOUT MARINA EVANS

WEBSITE | INSTAGRAM | FACEBOOK | SPOTIFY

Beginning her career as a teenager performing the American Songbook in a jazz duo, Evans found her voice as a songwriter while in college in New York City. Teaching herself folk guitar and mixing it with the jazz inflections she had honed in her voice – an aspect of her sound she still preserves today as a big band vocalist – led to a unique blend of genres that she has refined over countless hours on the road, the stage, and in the studio.

Evans has written and released 4 original EPs and a full-length album. In writing, recording, and touring, she has traveled across the United States, to London, and to Italy, where she collaborates with Italian artists in producing her work.

Her unique sound and powerful stage presence have earned her opening sets for such legends as LeAnn Rimes, Judy Collins, Dar Williams, Jonathan Edwards, Maria Muldaur, and Loudon Wainwright III; she has also been honored with two consecutive nominations for Female Performer of the Year at the New England Music Awards. A bold, honest performer, clever lyricist, and a dedicated songwriter, Marina Evans is a star on the rise whose songs and spirit are not to be missed.
