ABOUT NERVOUS BUT EXCITED
Nervous but Excited have spent the past ten years exploring various parts of their lives and passions but the lure of sharing hearts and songs with audiences has led them to reunite for three shows. Performing music to fans new and old from Maine to Michigan has been a secret dream of Kate and Sarah for years and they are more than EXCITED to make this dream into a series of concerts. We are honored the first and only show outside of MI will be at the Word Barn.
Pleasantly Aggressive Folk Duo Nervous but Excited (Kate Peterson & Sarah Cleaver) is two songwriters, two singers, three guitars, a mandolin, a banjo, a ukulele, dead-on harmony, some vaguely choreographed dancing, and an impressive amount of laughter. Their original repertoire ranges in topic from smart, introspective narratives to the tactfully political… interspersed with songs of love and loss that will undoubtedly tug on your heartstrings.
Their harmonies have been described as the kind that build so smoothly until suddenly they start to shake your insides.
